About us

Lifepoint is a dynamic, growing church that meets you right where you are.  If you are looking for a refreshing new way to experience church, you've found it.  You will experience live contemporary worship, multi-media, and thought provoking messages that are relevant in today's world.  Jesus was passionate in living His faith and effectively loving people.  That is the simple message of Lifepoint Church, "a passion for God, a value for people."  Christianity is about a relationship with God and people.  It's not about rules and regulations.  At Lifepoint we believe if we get the relationship thing right with God, everything else takes care of itself.  Whether you are just curious about the church and God or you're a committed Christ-follower, we welcome you to come check us out.  Join us this weekend for one of our life-changing services.  You'll never be the same.

Lifepoint Mission

"A Passion for God, A Value for People"

As believers in Jesus Christ, Lifepoint Church has: A Passion for God, and…A Value for People.

We inspire positive solutions by empowering people to discover their God-given potential.

We are dedicated to the development of whole relationships and strong families.

We serve our community and the world in relevant ways.

Lifepoint Values

LOVE-At Lifepoint we believe in an environment of acceptance, without barriers.  We are about active unselfish devotion to God and others.  Because everyone has value to God, everyone is valuable.

PRAYER-God invites us to interact with Him.  At Lifepoint we are committed to each other.

INTEGRITY-At Lifepoint we believe in maintaining an excellent reputation as a church and as individuals in the community.  God's Word is the standard of truth.  We are committed to live our lives by faith.  We preach everywhere we go by living lives that are a reflection of God's truth.

FAMILY-At Lifepoint we believe in building meaningful, lasting relationships where people are united by convictions, truth and common character.  In our ever changing world of single parent families we are committed to the development of all families and all individuals.

SERVICE-At Lifepoint we believe in actively meeting the needs of people in the community.  True fulfillment can be found in the simple act of service.

TRAINING-At Lifepoint we believe in the Ephesians 4 model for the Church, "...training God's people for service."  It is important that individuals be established in biblical foundations and practical life studies.  The New Testament model is, everyone is important and therefore must be equipped for service.

What We Believe

1.     ABOUT GOD THE FATHER
God is the Creator of the universe.  Our God is one, but manifested in three persons.  The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  These three are co-equal and are one God.

2.     ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God.  He is one with the Father.  He is the Word manifested in the flesh.  He is the One Begotten and existed with the Father from the beginning.  Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross.  He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death.  He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

3.     ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son of God.  He proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26).  He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ.  He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.  He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right.  He also equips believers with spiritual gifts, or spiritual endowments that supernaturally support His plan in the earth.

4.     ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God's Word to us.  It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.  It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.  Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error.

5.     ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS
People are the supreme object of God's creation.  People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world.

6.     ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it.  We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works.  Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin's penalty.  Jesus gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God.  When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved.  Eternal life begins with the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.  The New Birth is necessary for all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life.

7.     ABOUT WATER BAPTISM
Baptism in water is by immersion, and is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only.  The ordinance is a symbol of the Christians identification with Christ in his death, burial and resurrection.

8.     ABOUT SANCTIFICATION
The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord.  We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation and Christ's return.

9.     ABOUT ETERNITY
We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation.  To be eternally separated from God is Hell.  To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life.  Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.  The one who physically dies without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting.  The Lake of Fire is literal.  The terms "eternal" and "everlasting" used in describing the duration of the punishment in the Lake of Fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence that is used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God.

Our History

In July of 1994 about twenty people gathered together and committed to God and one another to begin a new work where grace was alive and where there would be a new approach to ministry in central Arkansas.

Within just a few weeks, this group of believers was meeting in the school auditorium of Wilson Elementary each Sunday and Wednesday.  Pressed for a meeting location, the Lord opened the door to purchase six acres at our present location on Hwy 67 South.  By the Spring of 1995 the congregation had worked together and with local contractors to move into their new facility.

Founding Pastor Warren Richardson left in 1997 after getting the church organized and established.  This opened for Pastor Don Kennedy to come in 1998.  Under his teaching ministry the church became well organized and established in the community.  In 2004, Pastor Kennedy's season ended and Pastor Ronnie Brumley became pastor in 2005.  Under Pastor Ronnie the church grew, modernized, and entered a new phase of ministry resulting in a name change to Lifepoint Church.

In the Fall of 2008, Pastor Ronnie felt God's calling in a different direction and Rick McClure became the new pastor in January of 2009.  Pastor Rick's vision is to build upon the hard work of those who have come before him with a passion for God and a value for people.

"The church has seen sustained growth and continues to increase their involvement in missions and local activities."

Elevate Kids is designed to take our children on a fun journey of biblical learning.  Our vision for children is to provide tools to help them discover God's word on their own, developing habits and skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.  With the tools they learn, our children will have the opportunity to see the Bible come to life and to see how God's Word can be applied each and every day of the week.

A Few Things Your Kids Will Learn...

God- God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.
Man- Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character

1 Timothy 4:12, "Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity."

We believe that God has called us to live as examples in love, conduct, and faith. When we are an example in these things, then we can make an IMPACT in our world for Christ.

Youth culture today is a fast, dynamic, invasive beast that our students face every moment of the day. At IMPACT we provide an environment where Junior High and High School students can find refuge. We will not be a place of condemnation or isolation, but rather a place of love, direction, and community.
